Heart-Pine is a subdivision of The Joinery Company. Its primary focus is as a sourcing company for those wanting to just buy raw materials and do their own millwork. We offer 8 grades of Antique Heart Pine cleanly prepared for use as flooring blanks or cabinet stock.

Our owner is Dewey Hudson, owner of The Joinery Company. He has been designing and manufacturing unique flooring products from heart pine since the early 1970’s. He is one of the founders of the Reclaimed Wood Industry. His work has been recognized both in the United States and abroad by awards, publications, and patents. His companies have been leaders in the Reclaimed Wood Industry for more than four decades.

In 1994, Dewey’s companies successfully reclaimed 12,000,000 board feet of timbers and decking from The Sears & Roebuck Complex in Chicago, Illinois. This structure was the largest timber frame structure ever built. These Reclaimed Heart Pine products were shipped all over the world and represented the largest reclamation project of its kind in the twentieth century.
